This 2 day box making course is for those with basic woodworking skills (e.g. beginner to intermediate).
Starting on Friday evening with a wine, quick slide show and demonstration of project possibilities for students to think about overnight.
The project box will be made from solid timber, veneer and plywood, and will be of a fairly simple design with mitred joints and either a lift off or hinged lid. Participants will learn how to use some hand and power tools including an electric router, biscuit cutter and domino machine.
All brass ware and materials will be provided. The completed box can be lined with a selection of materials from leather to felt and will be finished with oil.
